Does Massachusetts Add to SSI?
To get State Supplement Program (SSP) payments you must first apply for SSI; SSP is based on SSI eligibility, and some people with income too high for SSI may still qualify. The state pays SSP at the beginning of each month as a separate payment from SSI, with amounts based on income and living arrangement. Paid Medical Leave in Massachusetts
Massachusetts has no temporary disability insurance, but Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) pays up to $1,230.39 a week (2026) for your own serious health condition, up to 20 weeks.
